Student Creativity Grants
Hillel’s Creativity Grants Committee exists to support and stimulate new student-initiated projects that will enhance Jewish life on the college campuses in Baltimore. Comprised of students and community volunteers, the committee awards grants and allocates funds for an array of quality projects that extend beyond traditional Jewish programming. The committee hopes that these funds will empower students to develop programs that originally may have been beyond their reach. The committee also awards subsidies for students to attend conferences that have a Jewish component in their agenda. Proposals, program, and evaluations must be initiated, written, and developed by students. One-time and ongoing projects will be considered. These grant opportunities are available to individual students and student organizations. The committee has awarded over 100 grants to date.
Funding
The committee is unable to fund all of the proposals it receives. If a grant proposal is approved it may be approved for partial funding. Upon the Committee’s approval of the proposal, half of the allocated funds will be awarded immediately. The remaining funds will be awarded only following the completion of the project and the return of the Grant Evaluation Report. All fliers, newspaper articles, brochures, and other publicity must accompany the evaluation. Each must visibly state that funding for the project has been made possible by the Student Creativity Grants of Hillel of Greater Baltimore
