Students
UMBC Hillel supports Jewish life on campus by creating relationships with students and supporting a variety of student groups at UMBC as well as individual or small-group student ideas and initiatives.
Stephanie Layne, Igor Shusterman, and Brenah Srour serve as engagement interns for UMBC Hillel. That means they're happy to treat you to a cup of coffee and get to know you or connect you up with other students who might share your interests.
The JSU (Jewish Student Union) convenes UMBC Hillel’s student board and is responsible for a variety of cultural, social, community service, educational, and religious programming on campus. The president of the JSU is Lena Salins.
AEPi (mu delta chapter) is UMBC’s Jewish fraternity. It was founded in 2004 and is a member of the UMBC Inter-Fraternity Council. The President of AEPi is David Sivak.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi is UMBC’s Jewish sorority and promotes a sense of community for women. It is a member of the Multicultural Greek Council. The President of Sigma is Lauren Romano.
Would you like to create a new initiative or found a new group supporting Jewish life on campus? We’ll be happy to help you.
Let’s talk. You can email us at hillel@umbc.edu.
